Isabella and the Pot of Basil

The story is a classic from the Decameron: Isabella and Lorenzo fall in love and her jealous brothers take offense. They decapitate Lorenzo, burying him in an unmarked spot. Lorenzo's ghost appears to Isabella to instruct her where to find his remains. She takes his head and plants it in a pot of basil. She then spends the rest of her days around the pot, mourning her lost love.
