The Center of a Jay and Silent Bob Sandwich

This is during our second trip to meet the man in New Jersey, and it was better than the first time! Kevin held an essay contest, and only 300 of us lucky winners got let in (I wrote one winning essay to get me in, and then another winning essay to get Bill in).

To make it more intimate, everyone was assigned a specific hour in the store so each group was only 20 or so people. Brian O'Halloran, who was hanging around outside chatting up people, called out Bill and I because we drove the farthest to get there. At least half of the winners were local, and most everyone else flew in. Kevin was there, of course, as well as Jay, Brian O'Halloran (Dante in Clerks), Jennifer Schwalbach Smith (Kevin's wife and Missy in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back), and Walt Flannigan (manager of the Secret Stash and multiple roles in Clerks). Jay called me a "fine honey", which didn't thrill Bill. *grin* I won a Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back movie t-shirt, and they gave one to Bill, too, since we were one of the rare couples who made it in together. Late that night, after everyone had their hour, Kevin rented a bowling alley and took all of us bowling! It was so fun! The only disappointing thing was how moronic a lot of the other fans were. Bill and I really stood out just for being normal. (That's right. This was the type of crowd that made us look normal!)
