Tally Boards the Bus
The Story:
Poised to board the bus and sink back into anonyminity, Tally takes a quick glance over her shoulder....not in regret, but to assure herself that her departure went unnoticed. Her face, the face of America's Sweetheart, is everywhere: flyers and banners and advertisements. There are signs announcing the performance of "I'm Outta Here!", the performance she never wanted to make, her face on advertisements for toothbrushes, in brands she never used, and skin creamss, items of beauty she never bothered to care about. America's Greatest Commodity is taking herself off of the market.
